As a Construction Business Growth Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping how Cat Job Site Solutions (JSS) deliver value to construction customers around the globe. This role is central to driving innovation, expanding solution capabilities, and building the strategic structures needed to compete and win in a rapidly evolving industry.
You will partner with JSS Commercial Managers worldwide to design, integrate, and scale solutions that meaningfully improve customer outcomes—optimizing fleets, equipment, people, and operations. Through strategic insight, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration, you will unlock new regional opportunities, expand our customer base, and enable sustainable, profitable growth.

What You Will Do
Strategic Innovation & Solution Development
Lead the continuous identification, evolution, and expansion of JSS Solutions capabilities and frameworks.
Identify and integrate emerging and existing technologies that differentiate our portfolio and enhance efficiency, innovation, and customer outcomes.
Develop creative ownership, funding, and business models that capture new value and unlock growth opportunities.
Global Collaboration & Market Insight
Partner across internal global teams—including Industry Groups, Product Groups, Cat Financial, Business Resources, Legal, and more—to build tailored solution architectures.
Work directly with JSS Commercial and Account Managers to gather and synthesize market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive data.
Prioritize target regions, customers, and projects to accelerate pipeline growth and solution adoption.
Risk Strategy & Value Capture
Develop competitive, industry-specific risk strategies that create significant value for customers while safeguarding Caterpillar and Dealer exposure.
Support the creation of scalable, repeatable solution offerings based on industry and customer requirements.
Enterprise Growth & Sales Support
Support account-specific solution design for Managed Accounts.
Deliver on team TCV goals at both account and dealer/district levels, achieving or exceeding OPACC and risk profile targets.
Pilot, refine, and replicate solution offerings to maximize global reach and consistency.

What skills you will have:
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the construction or mining industry. Understanding of job site operations, equipment utilization, fleet management, and customer pain points in heavy construction.
Value Selling: Ability to develop growth strategies, evaluate market opportunities, and build scalable solution frameworks for global customers. Strong project management skills.
Customer Focus: Ability to deeply understand customer needs and translate them into tailored, high-impact solutions.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the enterprise.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with enterprise partners, clients, vendors, and peers.
Top Candidates will also have:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or Engineering.
Knowledge of construction industry segments and industry growth targets.
Familiarity with machine lifecycle management and maintenance strategies.
Familiarity with the application of machines.
Familiarity with different functional areas of the enterprise including but no limited to DSD, CFSC, Product groups, and sales & marketing groups.
Additional Information:
The primary work location for this role is Peoria, IL, with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position may require up to 10 - 25% travel.
Visa sponsorship, international assignments, or payroll transfers are not available for this role.
Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
