About the opportunity:
With strong public‑sector commitment to delivering additional social value, organisations face growing expectations to respond meaningfully to social, economic and environmental challenges. This role sits at the heart of that response.
As a Social Value Manager (Defence) within Amentum’s Energy & Environment International Social Value capability, you will play a key role in shaping, delivering and embedding social value across a diverse portfolio of projects. The role combines the chance to work hands‑on in delivering a varied range of social value programmes, and also to support our clients in planning, managing, delivering and measuring social value effectively.
Key Responsibilities include:
Supporting the development and implementation of social value propositions and delivery plans aligned to identified client priorities.
Monitoring and managing contractual social value commitments and performance, ensuring delivery against agreed targets and timescales and tracking of KPIs and outcomes.
Producing clear, meaningful outputs such as reports, dashboards and case studies for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinating and authoring social value responses for bids and tenders, articulating capabilities, defining credible commitments and setting proportionate, deliverable targets.
Supporting cultural and behavioural change, helping embed social value as “how we do business”. Work with client‑facing teams to ensure social value is embedded in delivery.
Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, delivery teams, supply chains and community stakeholders.
Providing coaching, guidance and upskilling on social value best practice to colleagues and stakeholders outside the field.
