Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Materials Planning and SIOP professional to support our aftermarket seating division within our Interiors Business. In this role you will participate in the supply and demand planning process, and be responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems and improve effectiveness of work area. You may also work with internal teams to develop financial forecasts.
What You Will Do
-
Create and manage work orders including the expediting process for priority orders to meet customer request date. This includes working cross functionally and globally to find the shortest path to meet the customer need.

Working with BOMs that include purchased, IC, and manufactured parts, as well as free stock items and items with shelf life.

Creates and manages Outside Order PO’s with suppliers.

Uses the Buyer/Supplier Portal (BSP) for communication of PO status changes. Coordinate with the vendor for receipt and delivery schedules and purchase order issues.

Helps troubleshoot pricing/invoicing discrepancies via the IOL (Invoice Online) portal.

Manages inventory that is held at the outside vendors but belongs to the company.

Action MRP messages that require investigation into several levels of subcomponents.

Tracks status of material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed.

Monitors the transportation and delivery of incoming component parts and outbound finished products.

Mitigates risks for short-term shortages with internal suppliers to ensure successful customer delivery.

Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules based on capacity and priority, assesses changes and improves processes as necessary.

Helps monitor capacity at outside suppliers.

Participate in developing strategies for materials planning and SIOP. May participate in the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.

Responsible for tracking appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer

MRP & ERP system planning experience.

Experience in long term planning/scheduling.

Background in managing purchase orders and supplier relationships.

Continuous improvement experience.

Experience working in aerospace or an MRO or FAA regulated environment

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
