This position supports Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S), a U.S. Israeli joint venture responsible for U.S. production of advanced missile systems supporting both U.S. and allied (Israel) defense programs. The Business Operations Lead is Raytheon’s primary integrator into R2S, enabling execution, governance, and growth across a complex, high-visibility defense enterprise.
This role sits at the center of a mission-critical defense business that protects both the United States and key allies.
The Business Operations Lead will operate at the intersection of national security, international partnership, and manufacturing scale-up, with direct exposure to senior Raytheon leadership, joint-venture partners, and government stakeholders. It offers a rare opportunity to influence strategy and execution in a high-impact, fast-moving environment while helping build a new U.S. manufacturing capability from the ground up.
This requires access to R2S sites, presence to visit customers, and on-site presence at Raytheon locations.

What You Will Do
-
Serve as primary Business Operations Lead to the R2S (CEO) Director, integrating governance, policy, reporting, and approvals to enable successful R2S execution.

Act as the interface between Raytheon and R2S LT for support, majority-owner, and consolidation processes, and compliance.

Lead preparation of board-level and governance materials, including metrics dashboards, business reviews, board meetings, and performance reporting.

Coordinate across Programs, Operations, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, and Enterprise Services to ensure execution aligns with Raytheon and JV requirements.

Support customer and partner engagements, including Rafael, Israeli Ministry of Defense, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and U.S. Government stakeholders.

Travel to R2S sites, Raytheon offices, customer locations, and partner engagements is required.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 10 years of experience is required

10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or a similarly regulated environment.

U.S. citizenship and existing US Secret clearance

Experience working in matrixed or multi-stakeholder organizations, including governance, compliance, or executive operations

Strong ability to produce and brief executive-level materials
Qualifications We Prefer

Experience supporting senior executives, boards, or complex programs.

Deep knowledge of Raytheon business systems and processes

Experience with international defense programs, joint ventures, or direct commercial sales environments.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
