Job Summary
Hours: 11pm-7am Friday, 11pm-7am Saturday. Sunday 9pm-7am
The Part Time Security Specialist works under general direction and will identify, understand, and mitigate potential risks and threats to the business through intelligence monitoring. This individual will facilitate collaboration between GSOC members, monitor security and other relevant events, log and escalate security threats, support administrative security functions, and assist with the administration of travel security programs.
The Part Time Security Specialist will update, maintain, and disseminate intelligence products to various channels for a variety of audiences. During active emergencies or major incidents, Security Specialists may be required to work extended hours.
To ensure the overall readiness of the GSOC, the GSOC Security Specialist may be required to work during non-business hours and on rotating shifts. Rotations include nights, mid-shift and holidays. Periodically, based on special incidents and events, staff may be assigned to work on non-scheduled hours for extended shifts as needed.

Core Responsibilities
Monitor multiple security, and other relevant systems to aid in the safety and security of Comcast personnel and assets
Ensure that all Requests for Information are quickly and effectively acted upon and coordinated across the appropriate cross-teams
Receive, assess, and document initial reports of security incidents and threats. Assess the business impact and respond as needed
Collect intelligence on incidents as they develop and update cross-teams accordingly
Monitor source information for high value assets and recognize indicators of potential impact on company operations
Use incident management tools to record data
Analyze information from various sources and create reports and briefings based on analysis
Respond to security reports received from travel advisory partners
Write daily and event driven Incident Notification and Situational Awareness reports and assist with emergency message dissemination as necessary
Respond to a wide variety of communications including telephone, email, telephone, secure fax, radio, and social media
Use mass notification systems to send messages
Prepare reports on incidents and events as necessary
Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
