Vice President - Network Product Engineering
About your role:
The Network Product Engineering Vice President will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, execution, and innovation of the Product Engineering organization. This role will oversee multiple engineering teams focused on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing products across Fiserv’s portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with deep technical expertise, a passion for product excellence, and a proven ability to drive transformation and operational efficiency.
What you'll do:
- Lead and inspire a global team of product engineers, architects, and technical leaders across multiple product lines.
- Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business goals, customer needs, and technology trends.
- Champion engineering excellence, agile practices, and continuous delivery across the organization.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Business stakeholders to ensure alignment on product vision, roadmap, and delivery.
- Drive innovation through emerging technologies, automation, and modern engineering practices such as DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code.
- Oversee the development lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and security standards are met.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to optimize engineering operations.
- Represent Product Engineering in executive forums, providing insights, updates, and strategic recommendations.
- Mentor and develop engineering leaders, building a strong succession pipeline.
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 15+ years of experience in software/product engineering, with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale engineering organizations in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud-native development, and enterprise platforms.
- Strong experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD, and engineering metrics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Fintech or Payments is highly desirable.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or enterprise architecture are a plus.
- Bachelor's in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Executive-level experience in scaling engineering teams and transforming legacy systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, data engineering, and platform engineering practices.
- Experience with global delivery models and managing distributed teams.
- Master’s degree in related field.
How you'll work:
- This role is on-site position. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences helps you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment
- Travel may be required on an as‑needed basis, depending on business priorities, project demands, or client engagements.
Salary Range
$210,000.00 - $330,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
