Job Description
The Social Media Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of Hayu’s organic social media activity, working closely with the Social Media Manager and the wider performance marketing team to help deliver engaging, high-quality content across platforms.
This role is ideal for an early-career social media professional looking to build hands-on experience across publishing, reporting, content coordination, and live social moments within a fast-paced entertainment environment. The role also provides on-the-ground support for UK-based events and activations, helping to amplify key moments through social media.
Sitting within the performance marketing team, the Social Media Coordinator collaborates closely with senior marketing stakeholders, including subscriber acquisition, brand, PR, paid media, and creative teams, to support integrated campaign delivery and ensure social activity aligns with wider marketing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Execution & Publishing
- Support the scheduling and publishing of content across Hayu’s organic social media channels (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Reddit).
- Ensure content is published accurately, on time, and in line with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Assist with day-to-day community management, including monitoring comments, messages, and social conversations.
Content Coordination & Support
- Support the briefing and coordination of social content with internal creative teams and external agencies.
- Assist with copywriting, asset selection, formatting, and versioning for different platforms.
- Help identify reactive content opportunities around reality TV moments, trends, and live conversations.
UK Events & On-the-Ground Support
- Support UK-based brand and talent events through on-site content capture where required in collaboration with in-house creative team (e.g. short-form video, Stories, behind-the-scenes moments).
- Work with the brand team to help amplify events and activations through real-time and post-event social content.
Reporting & Performance Support
- Assist in compiling regular social media performance reports, including engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance.
- Support insight gathering to inform content optimisation and future planning.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Social Media Manager and senior stakeholders within the team to support integrated social and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with brand, paid media, PR, and creative teams to ensure social activity supports wider marketing objectives.
- Act as a reliable executional support point to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the social function.
- Support the delivery of social activity aligned to agreed priorities and direction set at a wider marketing and business level.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Experience in social media, digital marketing, or content coordination (agency or in-house).
- Strong interest in social media platforms, trends, and pop culture, particularly reality TV and entertainment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident written communication skills and an eye for social-first content.
- Comfortable working across multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and reporting tools is desirable.
- Willingness to support occasional out-of-hours or on-site event activity where required.
