Trusted AI Specialist - Hiring Our Heroes - Strategy Fellowship

Are you ready to leverage your military experience while exploring how to adapt your skills to the corporate sector? As a Hiring Our Heroes Strategy Fellow at KPMG, you'll have the chance to gain experience in our Strategy practice. This will give you a unique opportunity to work alongside our leaders and learn how KPMG helps our clients overcome complex challenges.
The Hiring Our Heroes Corporate fellowship program offers transitioning military members a 12-week fellowship while they remain employed by the Military. During this time, Fellows will engage in a learning experience crafted by KPMG that prepares them for a career outside of the military. Fellows will gain first-hand experience designed to help them determine if a corporate career is the right choice for them. Upon completing the 12-week fellowship, there may be opportunities for Fellows to be considered for a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Trusted AI stakeholders to assist in the periodic refresh of KPMG's Trusted AI Use Guidelines
- Ensure that guidelines reflect the latest developments in AI technology and evolving legal, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Support the annual AI governance confirmation process by engaging directly with Application Owners across the firm
- Assist in verifying that all AI systems are correctly recorded in the KPMG AI Inventory and have completed the mandatory Global AI Risk Assessment
- Provide support to application teams to ensure adherence to human oversight requirements and other key governance controls
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent experience in technology governance, risk management, compliance, or related areas
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required (concentration in a relevant field such as technology, information security, computer science, risk management, or business or a related field desirable)
- Strong interest in AI ethics, governance, and responsible innovation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams and functions
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on maintaining accurate and clear documentation; Familiarity with foundational AI concepts and risk management frameworks is a plus
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technology and regulatory landscape

Fellowship program candidates who are selected will receive their standard salary as noted in the fellowship guidelines. KPMG provides no compensation for this fellowship.
