The Application Content Engineer (Level 1); owns end-to-end deliverables while developing the skills needed to consistently produce high-quality, accurate customer application-based products. The ACE is proficient with or able to quickly learn technical systems commonly associated with complex Military/Defense Agency equipment, systems and software; conduct field discovery, master visual communication, and employ effective use of AI and internal tools to support product development and delivery.
Expectations:
- Owns full customer application development from start to finish, with support and structured review.
- Learning how to capture accurate workflows, identify missing steps, and understand complex military systems.
- Performs field discovery with guidance; still building judgment around technical nuance and detail.
- Uses company templates, examples, and established patterns to create initial drafts of customer products.
- Beginning to use AI and internal tools to assist with content creation, illustration, and organization.
- Developing clarity and structure in visual and instructional content.
- Work requires multiple review cycles to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Building professional communication and on-site customer interaction skills.
- Strengthening consistency, attention to detail, and content quality.
