Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for a Wheel and Brakes Inspector to join our team in Davie, FL.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Davie PRS Shop-Wheel and Brake business organization.
Position Responsibilities:
Verifies basic product conformance to design requirements.
Provides objective evidence of results.
Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring when necessary.
Segregates and controls non-conforming items.
Reviews rework dispositions.
Assists in product reviews and teardown reports for customers during product or process verification.
Identifies, documents, and performs preliminary reviews and disposition of non-conformances.
Work closely with the production team when necessary to resolve any quality issues.
Perform non-destructive testing and visual inspection on wheel and brake assemblies.
Inspect top & sub-assembly parts and create bill of materials for missing, worn, or damaged parts for replacement in accordance with manufacturer’s component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, service letters, and customer’s instructions.
Perform final inspection on finished products and generate 8130-3 airworthiness release packages upon completion of the unit.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working on aircraft wheels and brake assemblies
10+ years of Repair Station experience performing maintenance and inspection of aircraft parts.
5+ years of experience using precision measuring equipment.
5+ years of SAP experience.
5+ years of experience working with manufacturer’s technical data when servicing wheel and brake assemblies.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
7+ years of experience working/inspecting aircraft wheel and brake assemblies
Previous experience in visual and non-destructive testing of wheel and brake assemblies.
Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
A&P or Airframe License
Previous FAA Repairman Certification for working/inspecting wheel & brake assemblies.
Experience working in a FAR 145 shop environment.
Holder of a current NDT II level certificate

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $65,000 - $92,000
