• Knowledge of Pricelist Audit and cost related manufacturing assessments.
• Exposure to BIM modelling and digital layout development.
• Experience on 3D Virtual reality analysis using IC.IDO
• Experience in the usage and application of 3D visualization and virtual reality technologies (including accessibility, sequence review, ergonomics, etc.) within CAVE environments and HTC Vive, among others. This expertise is considered an additional advantage.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly tools, and assembly sequencing and process planning, including routing and work instruction development.
• Hands on experience with Teamcenter and PLM based manufacturing data management.
• Working knowledge of SAP system, CAPP+, and VisMock up or equivalent digital manufacturing tools.
• Knowledge of Genset systems, components, functionality, and architecture for product applications.
Continuous Learning & Development
• Actively manage personal development through continuous learning and on the job experience.
• Stay current with evolving digital manufacturing technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Build proficiency in engineering methods, processes, and systems applied to manufacturing and product development.
• Strengthen core engineering skills through practical application of theory.
• Build working knowledge of Caterpillar products, manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and customers.
Skills & Competencies
• Customer focused problem solving and value creation, translating business and customer needs into effective engineering solutions.
• Strong sense of accountability with a continuous growth mindset, demonstrating ownership of outcomes and commitment to professional development.
• Structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement orientation, driving sustainable solutions and operational excellence.
• Uncompromising focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to Caterpillar standards across the product lifecycle.
• Capability to mentor and develop junior engineers, strengthening technical capability and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
