Job Summary and Qualifications
The Assistant Administrator under general direction, assumes line responsibility and authority for the administrative direction, evaluation and coordination of the functions and activities of assigned departments within the hospital organization to ensure operation objectives and results are in accord with overall hospital needs.
Coordinates and integrates interdepartmental and intra-departmental services through interactions with all levels of healthcare providers individually and in group activities, including all Department Directors, members of the executive team, all employees, the Board of Trustees and the community.
Facilitates the development of ancillary personnel through provision of staff development and continuing education.
- Plans and conducts conferences and discussions with administrative and professional staff to encourage participation in formulating departmental standards, interpreting new standards, promoting individual initiative and implementing appropriate problem–solving.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Management Team.
