Caterpillar is look for a Solutions Architect to join our Customer Solutions Core Region (CSCR) division!
Role Summary
The Solutions Architect is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing and enabling integrated solutions that align products, services, digital capabilities, and processes to deliver defined customer or business outcomes.
This role operates across functions to translate complex needs into scalable, repeatable solution designs, bridging strategy and execution. The Solutions Architect influences solution direction and adoption through expertise, systems thinking, and cross‑functional collaboration, without direct people management responsibility
What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
Solution Design & Architecture
Design end‑to‑end solutions by integrating equipment, services, digital tools, and operational processes to address customer, site, or business challenges.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with product, services, digital, sales, dealer, and regional teams to ensure solutions are technically viable, commercially sound, and operationally deliverable.
Outcome‑Driven Problem Solving
Solution Enablement & Scaling
Stakeholder Influence
Continuous Improvement
What You Have (Core Skills)
Customer Focus: Working knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Service Excellence: Extensive knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
Effective Communications: Extensive experience and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Strategic Thinking: Working Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Relationship Management: Working knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of professional, job-related experience.
Previous work experience with Caterpillar dealers in the Sales, Operations, or Marketing space.
Previously demonstrated experience in a staff role that required management of multiple projects and senior leadership report-outs.
Working knowledge of dealer or distribution networks, including collaboration with sales, service, and channel partners.
Additional Information
Locations for this position are in Peoria, IL, Cary, NC, or Dallas, TX
Relocation assistance available.
Up to 10% travel.
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
