Role
This position ensures that all surplus, slow‑moving, and obsolete material is properly classified, analyzed, and dispositioned within established timelines. The role is responsible for coordinating cross‑functional support teams to maintain accurate inventory status, execute disposition activities, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This position serves as a key point of contact for identifying, communicating, and resolving issues related to non‑strategic or obsolete materials to support efficient operations and cost‑reduction initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Production, Finance, Warehouse, third party) to classify and dispose surplus and obsolete materials.
- Serve as the main point of contact for identifying, communicating, and resolving inventory accuracy or material‑status concerns.
- Review aging reports, inventory data, and material movements, taking appropriate actions to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Develop, maintain, and update documentation related to surplus and obsolete material, including write‑offs and destruction processes.
- Execute material disposition activities such as scrap, returns, donations, resale, or reassignment to ensure timely reduction of obsolete inventory.
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reports on inventory value, aging, disposition progress, and recovery opportunities.
Educational Requirement
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Intermediate (conversation) English.

- Understands concepts of inventory lifecycle, surplus identification, and obsolescence.
- Recognizes parameters influencing scrap, return, resale, and repurposing decisions.
- Uses aging data, reports, and ERP information to support disposition planning.
- Applies policies and documentation requirements for compliant material disposition.
- Background of 2 to 3 years within Supply Chain functions, including at least 1 year focused on inventory management.
Problem Solving
- Understands the value of structured problem‑solving methods.
- Follows reporting and escalation protocols for material discrepancies.
- Uses approved methodologies for analyzing and addressing issues.
- Recognizes key elements of problem‑solving techniques used in the area.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong negotiation skills to support inventory, disposition, and cross‑functional alignment.

- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP and inventory‑management systems.
- Power BI proficiency for data analysis and reporting.
- Process digitalization skills to improve efficiency and data visibility.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Well‑developed problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Background in material disposition, scrap processes, and obsolescence management.
