Boeing Commercial Airplanes' Customer Support Organization is seeking Mid-Level Fleet Monitoring Engineers (Operations/Systems Analysis) to support the 787 Operations Control Center located in Everett, WA.
Position Overview:
Using Airplane Health Management (AHM) and other tools, the Fleet Monitoring team monitors the health of in-service 787 airplanes in real time and looks for opportunities to proactively reach out to operators with recommendations to mitigate schedule interruptions. Individuals analyze EICAS, CMC, maintenance page snapshot and ACMS data transmitted via ACARS to develop recommended maintenance actions and evaluate possible deferral per Minimum Equipment List (MEL) if recommended actions cannot be accomplished quickly.
The successful candidate must be team minded, customer centric, and willing to work 12-hour days during an 80 hour pay period, nonstandard rotating work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays. The 787 Operations Control Center operates 24x7x365 and individual schedules are 7 consecutive 12-hour days followed by 7 days off. Individuals are occasionally asked to travel to an operator site to evaluate an operator’s use of AHM and share industry best practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor the health of in-service airplanes via AHM and other tools
Analyze transmitted data to understand the nature of a reported fault or a negatively trending parameter
Provide recommendations based on published procedures (FIM, AMM, etc) when a fault with high probability of causing delay or cancellation is reported
Work with other members of the 787 Operations Control Center and other Customer Support or Design Engineering groups to identify, characterize and report emerging aircraft technical issues
Willingness to learn all facets of fleet monitoring and provide backup support as needed
Contribute to developing data analysis tools and methodologies
Inform and educate team members across shifts about updates to our documentation and procedures
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the 787 Operations Control Center in Everett, WA.
Travel Requirement:
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and/or internationally.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of experience working with 787 maintenance data such as FIM, AMM, Fleet Team Digest, Service Letters, Service Bulletins, IPD, schematics, wire diagrams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining 787 airplanes
Experience working in or with airline maintenance and operations organizations
Demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving 787 airplane systems issues

Summary Pay Range:
$119,850 - $162,150
