Job Summary and Qualifications
Assists new mothers and infants with breast feeding techniques. Our nurses who work within the Labor and Delivery unit assist new mothers and infants. Registered nurse responsibilities include all aspects of patient care. This care includes monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration, as well as managing pain and nausea.
What qualifications you will need:
- Minimum of 1 year (1) year experience in Lactation Support.
- College Degree from an accredited school
- 2 years Associate Degree
- 4 years Bachelor Degree-preferred
- Current IBCLC Certification
- Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
- Being able to collaborate with the nurses and MD providers
