LN-Food Services Cook-STAFF
The Food Services Cook independently performs moderately difficult tasks in preparing small quantities of quick-preparation foods, such as steaks, chops, cutlets, hamburgers, eggs, salads, and other similar dishes. Excludes workers who exercise general supervision over kitchen activities.
Training
- Successful completion of training on the safe use of chemicals, understanding manufacturer product labels, and information contained in Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) in accordance with (IAW) Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations Part 1910.1200 is required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to prepare food that complies with DoD 1338.10-M.
- Must possess the ability to clean food preparation areas according to MIL-STB-3006C.
Licenses / Certifications
- Must be able to complete certification training IAW the TB Med 530-Tri Service Food Code.
Experience
- This position requires 1 year of experience working in a commercial or military kitchen.

- This position requires skills such as walking, running, climbing, crawling, jumping, and other similar physical activities.
- The worker must be able to endure the working conditions of a commercial kitchen environment.
