Day to Day
- Provide feedback and guidance on design work, interpersonal dynamics, and career growth.
- Develop trusted relationships and gain a deep understanding of the product spaces you support.
- Attend product and UX meetings related to your areas of responsibility.
- Review design work both asynchronously and in design reviews, pinups, and critique sessions.
- Contribute to the growth, culture, vision, and health of the Content Design group.
- Present design work, visions, findings, etc., to leadership and coach team members on the same.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of content designers as they work to distill complex product goals into simple and intuitive experiences across Matching and Monetization surfaces critical to Indeed's FY26 revenue strategy.
- Partner with your team and partners to prioritize initiatives with a solid focus on outcomes, proactively identifying content opportunities and shaping product roadmaps in collaboration with Product, Engineering, UX Design, and Research.
- Drive content recommendations that optimize a simplified, tailored user experience for employers moving through Indeed's lifecycle from Free to Paid to Premium.
- Help define and evangelize the role of UX Content Design at Indeed and in the broader community of design professionals, including how the discipline evolves alongside UX Design and AI-accelerated ways of working.
Skills/Competencies
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience; or a PhD with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Demonstrated fluency in UX design fundamentals- interaction design, information architecture, and visual hierarchy- with experience partnering closely with UX designers or contributing to UX design work directly
- Experience coaching content designers to expand their range into adjacent UX disciplines, or a track record of leading hybrid content + UX work
