Communications Specialist (Contract)

In this role, you will serve as a critical operational and strategic partner to the influencer marketing function, helping to plan, execute, and optimize creator campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and community growth across major platforms. You will work at the intersection of culture, content, and community, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring creator-first campaigns to life across key franchise moments throughout the year. Job Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of influencer campaigns and creator activations aligned with franchise strategy, game drops, and major cultural moments
- Partner closely with the Head of Influencer, Social team, Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Consumer Products, and external partners to translate campaign priorities into clear creator-focused plans and deliverables
- Manage day-to-day influencer program operations, including creator outreach, contracting workflows, briefing, scheduling, and ongoing communications
- Maintain a strong understanding of the gaming creator ecosystem, platform trends, and emerging communities across YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and beyond
- Help identify and recommend creators that align with brand values, audience goals, and campaign needs, including both top-tier and rising talent
- Coordinate campaign logistics such as content timelines, asset delivery, approvals, and launch support to ensure smooth execution across multiple stakeholders
- Support creator engagement opportunities tied to tentpole moments such as live events, multiplayer activations, marketplace partnerships, and sponsored programming
- Track and interpret influencer campaign performance, contributing to reporting dashboards and post-campaign recaps while using insights to optimize future activations
- Ensure creator partnerships feel authentic, community-first, and aligned with the franchise's tone, values, and player expectations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Social and Influencer, Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, Legal, and external partners
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, or talent-driven campaign execution
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working at a major game publisher or within the gaming sector
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dedicated influencer marketing role
- Experience managing influencer activations for video game publishers, gaming platforms, esports organizations, or similar consumer-facing entertainment brands is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of and familiarity with the Minecraft creator ecosystem is strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of creator platforms and content ecosystems, including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social channels
- Proven ability to manage multiple creator workstreams simultaneously, including outreach, briefing, scheduling, deliverables, and campaign timelines
- Strong analytical ability with a demonstrated capacity to drive insight into action through influencer performance reporting and campaign measurement
- Ability to build strong relationships with creators, agencies, and external partners while ensuring campaigns remain authentic and community-first
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including Social, Product Marketing, Creative, Legal, and external stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting creator briefs, outreach messaging, and campaign documentation
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving, culture-driven environment
- Familiarity with influencer tracking tools, CRM-style workflows, and contract and payment processes
- Creative portfolio or previous samples of social media strategy or influencer work are a plus
