Merchandise Inventory Specialist Cast Members are responsible for their locations data integrity. They monitor and maintain the accuracy of inventory levels, product pricing, incoming/outgoing transfers, sales floor presentation levels and communicate product issues for their merchandise locations to the appropriate persons. Though various aspects of the Merchandise Inventory Specialist role may vary from location to location depending on special needs of the business, the core focus of the Merchandise Inventory Specialist revolves around ensuring that the merchandise on-hand quantities are always correct.
Location: Disney Character Warehouse, Tampa Premium Outlets in Tampa, FL
Responsibilities : - Monitor and maintain the accuracy of inventory levels, product pricing, incoming/outgoing transfers and sales floor presentation levels
- Work within the Store Inventory Management System (SIMBA/SIOCS) to manage inventory tasks; comprehensive training will be offered
- Perform Cycle Counts as a core responsibility to maintain accurate inventory data and ensure strong data integrity
- Assist with processing deliveries and supporting other Merchandise Operations needs as required
- Will need to partner closely with Data Maintenance Cast Members at Walt Disney World, Leaders, and even the Distribution Center
- Communicate product issues for merchandise location to the appropriate persons
- Ensure that the merchandise on-hand quantities are always correct
- Serve as a key contributor to the MER Yearly Physical Inventory process
Basic Qualifications : - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license
- Job may require lifting boxes that weigh up to 45 lbs.
- Physical role requiring lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, standing, climbing, walking, and kneeling
- Basic math skills
- Comfortable with technology, Microsoft Office, and learning new systems
- Written and verbal communication skills in English
- Full Time requires full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications: - Bilingual preferred
- Previous experience in Inventory Control or Data Management
- Previous cashier experience
- Previous retail or related sales experience
