Job Summary:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our growing Neurosurgery team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. This is an inpatient-only position providing comprehensive care to neurosurgical patients alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
New graduates are encouraged to apply. We welcome motivated ACNP graduates with strong inpatient clinical training and a passion for neurosurgery.
Position Highlights- Inpatient-only Neurosurgery practice
- 7-on/7-off schedule
- No call responsibilities
- Join a collaborative team of two Advanced Practice Providers supporting inpatient neurosurgical care
- Opportunity to work closely with experienced neurosurgeons, trauma team
Responsibilities- Perform inpatient rounding and management of neurosurgical patients
- Conduct consultations, admissions, and daily patient assessments
- Provide follow-up care for established and postoperative patients
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning
- No operative time or first assist experience required
