Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Accounting & Finance Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Functional Analyst specializing in Financial Planning System like BPC Planning or SAC. This role is ideal for a finance systems professional who understands financial planning processes, can translate business needs into clear system requirements, and enjoys partnering with Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems teams to improve planning, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support and enhance finance planning solutions by working closely with business users to understand process needs, document requirements, coordinate testing, support change adoption, and help deliver practical system improvements that create business value.
Reporting to the Finance Accounting System and Technology Manager, the person in this role will support FAST objective to deliver key finance systems
initiatives that improve planning, reporting and decision making.
The person in this role will serve as a key functional partner between Finance,
Accounting, and Information Systems by helping define business requirements, validate solutions, support user testing, document processes, and drive adoption of system and process improvements.
The role provides ongoing operational functional support, SOX compliance oversight, change management coordination, and business consulting to process efficiency, data quality and planning effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, FP&A and Information Systems teams to understand business needs and support financial planning, consolidation, reporting, and analytics processes.
• Support SAP BPC Planning and SAP Analytics Cloud planning processes from a functional business perspective, including planning cycles, reporting needs, data validation, and user support.
• Lead or support requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, UAT coordination, issue resolution, and business readiness activities for system enhancements and projects.
• Serve as a trusted business partner to finance users by helping troubleshoot process or data issues, coordinating with technical teams when needed, and communicating status clearly.
• Support SOX controls, governance, change management standards, and audit requirements for finance and related systems
What you bring
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience supporting Finance and Accounting processes, preferably involving including SAP BPC Planning, and/or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and/or SAP solutions.
• Experience with financial reporting, planning, consolidation, and close
processes.
• Strong experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes,
supporting UAT, validating system outputs, and coordinating project delivery with business and technical teams.
• Working knowledge of SOX controls, governance, and auditcompliance requirements and change management practices in a finance systems environment.
• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven ability to translate business needs into actionable system and process improvements.
Added bonus if you have
• CPA, MBA, or related professional certification.
• Experience with SAP Group Reporting and S/4HANA Finance SAC Planning, or
enterprise planning transformation initiatives.
• Experience facilitating workshops, leading knowledge transfer sessions, or developing user-facing documentation and training materials.
