THE WORK
- This Quality Supervisor (QS) position supporting the backshops is located in Stratford, CT on 3rd Shift.
- The QS is responsible for all aspects of quality supervision of inspection hourly associates for backshop inspection.
- The position will report to a Backshop Quality Asc. Manager in the RMS Sikorsky line of business.
- The candidate will provide leadership to hourly personnel as appropriate supporting the Sikorsky Back Shop Quality organization.
- The QS will provide leadership through identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives in these areas that support the Quality Organization’s key performance measurements, vision and strategy.
- Managing collaboration efforts with DCMA for contract statement of work compliance to the quality management system, non-conforming material, and corrective actions
- Managing the grievance escalation process as appropriate.
- Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Local 1150.
- Manage the training scheduling of the hourly associates.
- Managing metrics detailing hourly work force labor hour activities.
- Supporting the execution and achievement of all applicable Lockheed Martin, RMS and RMS Sikorsky business objectives.

STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION
Manages more than one functional area in Quality, Reliability, Test, or Inspection. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm. Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility. Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations. Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes. Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met. Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements. Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility. Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends. Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements. Note: This job code will be used for quality personnel that have lead responsibility for a program with one or more quality disciplines.
Basic Qualifications
- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Leadership experience
- Strong communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment.
- Knowledge of Sikorsky processes and procedures related to aircraft production (e.g. Non conforming material management, etc.).
- Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement as applicable.
- Talent development and team building skills Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and drive change.
- Strong working knowledge of problem solving/root cause analysis and process management.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
