Title:
Electrical Engineer
- As part of a team, work to design, develop, and deliver electrical engineering solutions supporting an integrated Directed Energy Weapon.
- Primary focus will include design and integration of custom circuit boards that allow discrete safety signals, communication/data interfaces, and power distribution systems supporting the mission equipment on platform.
- Assist throughout the manufacturing, testing, and integration process of in-house designs as well as evaluation of COTS products to meet capability requirements. Applicant should have a strong breadth of electrical engineering disciplines to include computer, microelectronics, signal processing, and power distribution.
Qualifications:
- B.S in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to interpret and develop electrical schematics
- Experience with printed circuit design and analog/digital application, Altium / Autodesk Eagle preferred
- Experience Researching, developing, designing and testing circuits, components and equipment systems
- Experience evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) parts for compliance
- Experience with software development, C, C++, Python preferred
- Experience with power distribution systems
- Understanding of designing and testing to meet MIL-STDs
- Cable/Harness drawings
- Interprets the data, verifies product documentation, designs, layouts, or drawings for adequacy and reliability
Desired Qualifications:
- Canididate demonstrates effective communication within a team environment
- Capable of performing collaboration within multi-discipline system engineering team
- Must be a team player and collaborate effectively
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
- Relevant hands-on experience is highly preferred (design/build)
- Ability to travel 10-25%
