Title:
Modeling & Simulation System Analyst
- Serve as the PEO Missiles and Space (PEO MS), Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) Project Office, Modeling & Simulation (M&S) System Analysis Lead. Provide M&S and Analysis subject matter expertise (SME) to PM SHIELD, Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Directorate and M&S Division in the support of the IFPC product office.
- Lead the technical efforts in IFPC product office consisting of modeling and simulation (M&S) and analysis efforts in the application and execution of systems engineering principles, process, and activities.
- Perform analysis applying appropriate scientific and engineering processes and modeling techniques to the life cycle development of systems.
- Support planning and execution of system performance analysis, independent performance assessments, lethality assessments, risk analysis, test readiness reviews, post-test analysis and simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) activities.
- Maintain and improve large scale simulations to support multiple missions and integrate existing models from mission partners into simulations.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support during execution of analysis for Hardware In-the Loop (HWIL), Digital Modeling and Simulation (M&S), and analysis tasks.
- Coordinate, schedule, and lead U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC) Data Analysis support team with Iron Dome Defense System – Army (IDDS-A) and Enduring Indirect Fires Protection Capability (E-IFPC) Support Efforts.
- Act as tertiary lead in representation of Product Office M&S announcements to AvMC M&S and Data Analysis teams when needed.
- Support Developmental Testing and Operational Assessments and execute the Joint Analysis Teams (JAT) at WSMR.
- Participate in weekly Software Engineering meetings for situational awareness
- Participate in M&S Meetings for situational awareness
- Participate in weekly M&S Meetings with AvMC Modeling & Simulation for situational awareness.
- Participate in IFPC Staff Call and update Analysis Chart.
- Support product IPTs, risk review, program manager reviews (PMR), M&S Division staff calls.
- Prepare technical briefings and reports, and brief stakeholders to keep all parties apprised of IFPC analysis product accomplishments and issues.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Certified Engineering Degree
- 12-15 Years’ Experience
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance.
