Reverse Engineer - Mid-Level
KBR is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Reverse Engineer to join our Security Engineering team onsite in our Beavercreek, OH office. In this role, you will play a key part in our efforts to analyze and secure our products and services. You will leverage your technical expertise to perform comprehensive reverse engineering of various systems, identify vulnerabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proof-of-concept exploits. Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-scope reverse engineering of hardware, firmware, software, and network protocols.
Analyze complex system components, architectures, and interactions to understand their functionality.
Identify and assess security vulnerabilities, potential attack vectors, and areas for improvement.
Develop custom tools and scripts to automate and enhance reverse engineering workflows.
Research and evaluate emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and reverse engineering techniques.
Collaborate with software engineers, security analysts, and other stakeholders to design and implement security solutions.
Document findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in reverse engineering or relevant security disciplines.
Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and software development principles.
Proficiency in assembly language, C/C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
Experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja.
Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques.
Knowledge of network protocols, cryptography, and security vulnerabilities.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hardware reverse engineering tools and techniques.
Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware analysis.
Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development.
Contributions to open-source projects or security communities.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
