Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic professional to join us as a Patient Scheduler. You will coordinate the scheduling of surgical procedures with the physicians’ offices, prioritize procedures to ensure efficient patient flow and optimum utilization of OR resources. Additional duties may include:
- You will document scheduling information accurately then monitor, audit and distribute the schedule.
- You will obtain precertification/authorization numbers and enter them in the scheduling or registration system.
- You will obtain and enter accurate insurance information.
- You will answer incoming phone calls.
- You must communicate with empathy, clearly and concisely with both patients and physicians.
