Overview
Responsible for developing sustainability related strategies and plans that assure our planning, design and construction capabilities are well-known in the industry and we are taking appropriate measures to reduce our environmental footprint with respect to our internal operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support the implementation of sustainability strategies
- Provide subject matter expertise in one or more sustainability areas
- Promote though leadership through social media and conferences on sustainability
- Provide guidance on reducing corporate environmental footprint
- Assess compliance with environmental regulations and provide recommendations on maintaining compliance
- Promote sustainable products and technologies internally and for our clients
- Identify and participate in opportunities for stakeholder engagement and communication
- Oversee the tracking and reporting on our environmental performance
- Research and provide recommendations on how to integrate sustainability into business operations
- Promote environmental stewardship within our company and the larger community
- Monitor and make recommendations on our continuous improvement and innovation as it relates to sustainability
- Demonstrate and quantify the business value of our sustainability efforts
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or environmental-related sciences (sustainability, chemistry, biology, marine, weather, etc.).
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in a design, construction, sustainability, environmental or related role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sustainability-specific role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role participating in the development of strategic plans and overseeing implementation of sustainability initiatives.
