CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1 – Facility Disposition Project at the West Valley Demonstration Project. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, CHBWV continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site.

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE OF POSITION
CHBWV is seeking a qualified candidate to assume lead engineering responsibility for one or more related phases of work of an engineering discipline as directed by a manager. The engineer will be required to perform and direct a wide variety of engineering and technical duties. The work requires extensive knowledge and application of engineering techniques, principles, and practices employed in the discipline area of assignment.
- Trouble shoot, evaluate, and develop solutions for mechanical systems and components to include but not limited to ventilation/HVAC, pneumatic, water/piping, and demolition process.
- Evaluate and develop solutions for structural components including those associated with the Main Plant Process Building Demolition process.
The work requires knowledge and application of engineering techniques, principles, and practices employed in the area of assignment.
