Job Summary
As an Asset Management Associate Specialist, you will play a vital role in efficiently managing and maintaining the organization's assets using the MAXIMO Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Your primary responsibilities will include recording asset data, setting up assets in MAXIMO, creating work orders, and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) schedules. You will collaborate with the Asset Management team to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the organization's assets, extending their lifespan and minimizing downtime through proper maintenance practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain property accountability records in the Property and Equipment Management System (PEMS) database.
- Support various Property Management Outcomes, including Acquisition, Receipt, Identification, Records, Utilization, Physical Inventory, Maintenance, Closeout, and Subcontractor Control.
- Analyze acquisition documentation to ensure accurate recording of asset data fields such as part number, model, manufacturer, serial number, purchase order, acquisition value, and location.
- Process and validate Tool Orders, Test Equipment Delivery Notices, Tool Modifications, and Test Equipment Modifications.
- Update official records to reflect inventory, movement, and relief of stewardship through various documentation.
- Coordinate property control activities to ensure continual accountability of government, associate contractor, and company property.
- Assess anomalies and provide recommendations for corrective actions to ensure functional compliance.
- Participate in internal accountability boards and the execution of corrective action plans.
- Support internal and external property audits.
- Coordinate with various functional groups for the disposal of surplus or obsolete material and equipment.
- Adhere to and perform organizational goals with general guidance.

Basic Qualifications
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Must obtain and maintain an International Driving Permit
- High School diploma or GED.
- 8 years of directly related experience.
- NPMA Certification required.
- Strong understanding of asset management principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data entry, database management, and reporting within the CMMS environment
Preferred Qualifications
- NAVFAC Experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make timely and informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations related to asset management is a plus.
