Job Summary
This position involves reporting to and taking direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. The responsibilities include reading and interpreting instructions, ensuring high-quality standards in installations, moving materials and equipment to work sites, setting up work areas, and maintaining, repairing, or installing electrical equipment and support systems for base construction and maintenance. Additionally, the role involves record-keeping, tool and equipment maintenance, and various clean-up tasks. The individual is responsible for identifying necessary materials, submitting requisitions through the procurement process, and tracking materials until received. Adherence to safety rules, including the use of required personal safety equipment, is crucial. The required skills are acquired through certification as a Journeyman Electrician and 2-5 years of experience. Other duties and activities may be assigned as directed.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Report to and receive assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.
- Read and interpret instructions and documentation; plan work activities accordingly.
- Ensure the highest quality standards are maintained in all installations.
- Move materials and equipment to work locations and set up work sites.
- Maintain, repair, and replace or install a broad range of electrical equipment and support systems in support of base Operations and maintenance activities.
- Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Identify proper materials required for specific installations; submit material requisitions through the procurement process, and follow up with materials and/or logistics personnel until received.
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
- Perform LV Switching Procedures 50/60Hz.
- Perform LV Isolations.
- Operate, maintain, and repair the permanent 50/60Hz electrical power transmission systems and distribution systems.
- Efficiently and safely operate systems equipment and components per ANSI, ASME, NFPA, and OMSI standards, as well as the provided O&M manuals and other specific operating manuals, procedures, and instructions.
- Monitor and regulate equipment controls, maintain operating records, logs, and reports, and examine and make minor adjustments to equipment and system components.
- Ensure all work is performed safely with minimal impact on the distribution system.

Basic Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
- Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Must possess security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.
- The skills for this position are acquired through Certification as Electrician and 3-5 years of experience.
