The Customer Care and Aftersales organization is pleased to announce the creation of a new team focused on reimagining and modernizing our supply chain and warehousing fulfillment strategy to support evolving business requirements as well as future e-fulfillment growth.
The focus of the effort will be on performing competitive analysis to identify and implement global lean supply chain and fulfillment solutions to solve current gaps in the warehousing efficiency and space and executing actions to enable best in class end-to-end supply chain capabilities. Reimaging fulfillment is a cultural shift within GM-CCA that empowers and inspires the team to take action and embrace the demeanor that, "Everything can be made better."
You will help support and implement strategy development in turning fulfillment into a competitive differentiator for GM and advancing the work on future fulfillment model.
The Role:
As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for support in one of the key areas: manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management. You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.
The Technology Integration Leader position will be a detail-oriented individual that will assist in the support of strategic, innovative technologies designed to increase speed, improve accuracy and reduce costs. The responsibilities will program management for the deployment of an integrated WMS, ASRS, Robotics, and Conveyance system. Additionally the ME will have responsibility over budget, timing, contractor interface, operational interface, training programs, and full system deployment. This is an Integration Engineer type role that will support the integration of robotics.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Full project management of ASRS and integrated systems deployment for a PDC (Parts Distribution Center).
- Ownership of financial tracking, POs, Invoicing.
- SOW / RFQ creation – engagement with vendors and creative ideation for problem solving.
- Integrating with WMS, IT, Business, and other technical teams for a successful, on-time, program launch.
- Regular updates with senior leadership, facilitation of workshops.
- Train Warehouse staff for standardization on newly implemented processes. This can include developing instructions and manuals for employees.
- Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.
- Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
- Travel to installation site required – 1-2 weeks per month
