Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Technology Architect with strategic analysis and enterprise-wide technology experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.
What you will do
Lead development of enterprise-wide technology architectures.
Formulate conceptual architectures and communicates architectural vision, goals, and design objectives to multiple audiences.
Perform platform (infrastructure) reliability engineering, assessments, and governance.
Lead SME for cloud production readiness requiring teams to complete all nonfunction requirements, Cloud production to 180 day issue closure
Actively perform application and infrastructure major incident post mortem (mipsip revolver),
Perform app & infra resiliency assessments,
Lead both tactical and strategic efforts to improve reliability and availability (e.g. high risk command review, control rationalization).
Understands and models key business processes, business relationships, and impact of technology on business goals
Leads the development of technology strategies and roadmaps for emerging technologies, evaluating usefulness, and making recommendations regarding selected technologies.
Assists senior managers in developing the IT vision and strategy.
Guides and consults with IT and business management regarding use of specific technologies and associated services.
Identifies risks associated with current or new technology use.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.
-At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience in architecture, analytics, Domain Driven Design concepts, and development of enterprise solutions in multiple technology platforms, frameworks, and languages.
Demonstrated experience in Site Reliability Engineering or non-functional requirements improvements
Subject Matter Expertise in cloud production readiness defining requirements for nonfunction processes
Possesses expertise in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices in an agile environment.
SME in post-production routine non-functional requirements processing and management
Demonstrated and extensive knowledge in troubleshooting and root cause analysis methods. Wide band knowledge of areas of focus to improve root cause analysis.
Demonstrated and extensive knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, data architecture, security, new technologies, Cloud migration strategies and product and vendor evaluation.
Demonstrated expert understanding of the agile development process and DevOps practices.
Experience in cloud technologies and practices, building and deploying applications using either AWS or Azure or both. Cloud certification preferred.
Experience in microservices architecture.
Experience and successful modernization at large corporations (re-platforming, re-hosting and service enablement).
Demonstrable experience migrating from OnPrem to Cloud or mainframe modernization.
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
