The Role
GM Motorsports Performance Engineering continues to expand! We are seeking a Sports Car Test and Development Engineer to work with existing race teams to ensure our component and static testing is being managed across parties and the data/results are valid. To accomplish this, you will aid in the testing and development of specific vehicle systems. You will assist in the design, implementation, operation and troubleshooting of various GM test fixtures and devices while collaborating with the race teams during all stages of life. Travel on a regular basis will not be required but you may be requested to provide live support at a test session or some key races.
What You’ll Do

Sub-systems dynamometer testing (brakes, uprights, steering, dampers, torsion bars, etc.)

Provide coordination and customer support during SPMM and Wind Tunnel testing

Complete smaller design tasks autonomously and work with the Design/Manufacturing groups on larger projects as needed

Provide hands on mechanical assistance when needed

Create reports and provide presentations
