The franchised Trademark by Wyndham location in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania is seeking a Assistant General Manager (Franchise) to join its team at the Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center.
The Role
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving team performance. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A particular emphasis will be placed on food and beverage management, including catering services, to enhance our guests’ culinary experiences.
What you'll do
- Operational Management: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments adhere to established standards and policies.
- Guest Experience: Foster a culture of exceptional hospitality by responding to guest inquiries and concerns and ensuring all team members provide outstanding service.
- Staff Leadership: Assist in recruiting, training, and developing hotel staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Food and Beverage Management: Oversee food and beverage operations, including menu development, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety standards. Work closely with kitchen and service staff to deliver exceptional dining and catering experiences.
- Financial Oversight: Support the GM in budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor revenue and expenses to achieve financial targets, particularly in the food, beverage, and catering departments.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are met.
- Marketing and Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote the hotel’s food and beverage sales, enhance visibility, and drive hotel occupancy.
- Community Engagement: Represent the hotel in local community events and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders.
You'll be successful if you have
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and particularly food and beverage and catering management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel management or a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership.
