The Role
The Director of Sales at the Penn Harris Hotel is a pivotal role responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing the hotel’s market presence. This individual will lead the sales team, develop strategic sales plans, and build strong relationships with clients and partners to ensure the hotel’s success in a competitive hospitality landscape.
What you'll do
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement innovative sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and increase market share.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel partners to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze sales metrics and performance data to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives with overall hotel strategies and enhance guest experience.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximization of profitability.
- Networking: Represent the hotel at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility and promote the brand
You'll be successful if you have
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and marketing strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proficient in sales software and CRM tools.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
