DJBOSS: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. This role encompasses responsibilities beyond those outlined in the job description. You may be tasked with fulfilling additional duties as required by the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the General Foreman
- Maintains the short-range look ahead plans and discusses all deviations with the General Foreman.
- Maintains, repairs, and replaces or installs a broad range of electrical equipment and support systems in support of base construction and maintenance activities
- Ensures high quality standards are instilled in all installations.
- Ensure AHA/TSTI are taken every day to each shift.
- He needs to insure Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities
- Responsible for identifying proper materials required for specific installations, submitting material requisitions through the procurement process and following up with materials and/or logistics personnel until received.
- Assists the General Foreman by providing input to identify key success factors for Electrical crew.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a State Journeyman Electrician Certificate and 2 -5 years of experience.
- Must Possess a US Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Must be a U.S Passport Holder
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple interruptions/distractions.
- Must be a good team player.
- Excellent customer relations, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity and with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
- Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
