Title:
LCV NORTHCOM NTC: Transportation Supervisor
Position Overview:
Supervises the movement and distribution operations within the section. Collects, collates, analyzes and provides transportation support information to the Support Operation Center (SOC) which includes the overall Total Asset Visibility (TAV) and In Transit Visibility (ITV) of all commodities movement within the Area of Operations (AO).
Maintains accountability of over 350 military tactical vehicles and ensures the equipment is ready for use during daily operations while closely working with the maintenance department. Provides leadership by directing the efforts of personnel involved in providing a variety of support to the transportation operations. Provides operational oversight to ensure work is accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner and provides reports to the leadership as required. Oversees the employees’ compliance with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures throughout the assigned organization. Coordinates activities involving the customer, other organizations, and/or company leadership. Responsible for defining training requirements, developing employee skills, and promoting continuous improvement. Develops and implements performance standards and internal controls. May be required to perform other job-related tasks and duties as mission dictates.
Applicable Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Must possess a high level of proficiency in numerous Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point, along with excellent telephonic communication skills while maintaining COMSEC (Communication Security), OPSEC (Operation Security), and COMPUSEC (Computer Security).
- Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to work under fast paced and adverse conditions.
- Currently possesses a USG Secret clearance or be able to successfully obtain one.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 10 + years work experience in the transportation field.
- At least 3 years in a supervisor or manager capacity in the transportation field.
Additional Skills or Experience Preferred:
- Undergraduate degree preferred
Additional requirements:
- Work under stressful circumstances and meets short suspense dates
- Must be free of medical restriction/ limitations that prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to team lift up to 50 pounds in a two-person carry
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet
- Individual may be required to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay:
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation: $89,700 - $134,600
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
