LCV NORTHCOM NTC: Parts Clerk
Program Summary
As part of the LOGCAP NORTHCOM scope, KBR provides rapid response support to scheduled and unscheduled U.S. Army training exercises. KBR’s LOGCAP team successfully completed another year of support to Warfighter operations by providing typical LOGCAP services at two locations.
Job Summary
As a Parts Clerk, you will ensure the timely receipt, issue and tracking of repair parts and supplies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain dedicated parts, requisition replenishment items, and receive parts through the use of an approved U.S. Army STAMIS system, GCSS-ARMY Maintenance module.
- Request, receive, verify, issue, process, and stock parts and supplies.
- Turn in recoverable and excess parts.
- Open, close, update, and adjust maintenance and service processes to include parts processes and requisitions (excluding dispatching).
- Use various material handling devices (4k, 6k, 10k forklifts and pallet jacks).
- Perform various inventories, establish and maintain shop stock and bench stock.
- Maintain records and provide traceability of documentation.
- Ensure that the work area is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness at all times.
- Submit reports and action requests as required.
- Create detailed daily, weekly, and bi-weekly reports for tracking materials received and accepted.
- Be responsible for all indoor and outdoor part locations, ensuring that all items are stored and maintained properly.
- Participate in the Company Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and Quality Control Programs.
- Comply with all Company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality standards and applicable COPs and DOPs.
- Provide accountability and proper care of all Government Furnished Equipment and Contractor Furnished Equipment.
- Favorably interact with internal/external customers and fellow employees.
- Assist, on an as-needed basis, in performing functions in alternate areas of the project.
- Utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices associated with all lifting and material handling tasks that are assigned and associated with this job description.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain base access. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.
- Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) to meet Government requirements.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Requires at least 2.5 years of verifiable office/warehouse experience.
- Requires at least 2.5 years of verifiable inventory and/or stock order/replenishment experience.
- Requires at least 2.5 years of verifiable Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, EDGE, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience.
- Must be able to use and operate personal computers with databases and spreadsheet software, accurately input data, and be capable of operating in an automated supply environment.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to forty pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl and climb as necessary to perform job functions using proper techniques and PPE for extended periods.
- Must be free of medical restrictions / limitations that prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be physically capable of performing the work in conditions of extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain and blowing sand and dust.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a military operator’s permit for each type of vehicle or equipment required to operate.
- Must be able to meet CMF criteria in accordance with DA PAM 611-21 and AR 601-210.
- May be required to work on uncommon hours of duty, extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- 3 years of experience using current United States military supply system management GCSS-ARMY Maintenance Module is highly preferred.
- 3 years Mechanical parts experience.
- Ability to understand and be able to use Technical Manuals.
Pay
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Basic Compensation: $28.31
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
