Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
Maintain nonvehicle RADR equipment IAW applicable Technical Orders, commercial manuals, and Air Force instructions (AFI). Must ensure and enforce shop floor safety and environmental practices are followed. Inspect and repair military, industrial, and commercial designed base maintenance, material handling, special purpose, general purpose vehicles. Remove, disassemble, repairs or replace components, assemblies and or subassemblies and reinstalls as required to maintain vehicles in safe operating conditions. Perform functional tests and repairs on water and fuel pumping systems, cable and hydraulic lifting equipment, forklifts, towing equipment, gasoline, and diesel-powered engines. Make operational adjustments on items such as drag brakes, relief valves operating chains, lift cylinders, clutches, transmissions, brakes, and engine components. Perform lubrication, oil and filter changes on Government fleet vehicles and equipment. Perform minor corrosion control repairs detected during safety and schedules inspections. Assists Material Control in identifying parts required to accomplish repairs utilizing the specific vehicle technical order or commercial manuals. Maintains good housekeeping and safety practices. Perform other associated duties as assigned including such collateral duties as supporting company special projects and other sections as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair RADR equipment/items IAW established standards, applicable regulations, T.O.s and/or manufacture’s manuals.
- Use ILS-S to manage the Maintenance Repair Spares Package (MRSP), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) to document inspections, maintenance, and status for applicable equipment items, other USG designated systems.
- Provide RADR Inventory Report (RR) to include monthly status of all equipment/items to include geolocation, condition, and equipment status.
- Reconstitute deployed equipment returned to storage status IAW applicable TOs and commercial manuals.
- Light lifting of items weighing up to 30 kilograms.
- Moderate exposure to various environmental factors including dust, wide temperature ranges, noise, vibrations, fumes, harsh chemicals, odors, pollens, grasses, grease, machinery and moving parts.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and driving, as well as frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, both indoors and outdoors.
- Occasional exposure to inclement weather and hazardous work conditions.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have at least four years’ experience in vehicle and mechanical repair field.
- Must have ability to communicate in Spanish and speak, read, write, and understand English level I.
- High school completion or equivalent.
- Spanish Class B driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver’s license
