Job Summary
Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in the exciting field of Aerospace and Defense? KBR is looking for a highly self-motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate to design and document modifications for multiple US DoD Customers in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will, under supervision, create mechanical designs, drawings, and applicable Mechanical Engineering documentation to support multiple aircraft
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Under direct supervision, independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
- Assist more senior Mechanical Engineers in the design of larger and more complex design tasks which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features
Basic Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited degree program
0 to 3 years experience
Ability to read and interpret typical Mechanical Engineering documentation (i.e. mechanical drawings, weight and balance reports, structural loads analyses, etc.)
Knowledge of GD&T practices and application
Ability to read and apply Military, ASME, ASE Specifications as they relate to Mechanical Design
Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance (Existing SECRET clearance preferred)
PREFFERED SKILLS
Experience with SolidWorks CAD is a plus
Experience with PDM is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
