The newly formed Energy Transition & Climate Tech Investment Banking team, within the Energy & Power industry coverage group in CIB Banking, is seeking an Associate to join and support the build out of its coverage effort. The Associate position will report to the Energy & Power Development Officer. Associates are an integral part of the Investment Banking team. They are directly involved in the design, origination, structuring and execution of advisory and capital markets products and services for existing and prospective clients.
The Energy Transition & Climate Tech team provides M&A, strategic, and capital raising advisory services to corporate clients and investors. Our coverage universe includes emerging energy transition and climate technology companies and financial sponsors interested in the sector.
In this role, you will:- Participate in analyzing companies and client investments
- Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment
- Present recommendations for resolving business challenges and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external customers
- Develop Investment Banking Analyst talent
Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Prior experience in Energy & Power including renewables, energy transition and/or climate technology
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused and collaborative team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
Job Expectations:- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63, and Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
Additional Compensation Details:- Base pay range for this position is $175,000-$200,000
- May be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$138,500.00 - $287,600.00
