Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). Job Summary
As a Plumbing Intern, you will report to and receive assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. You will assist in installing, servicing, and repairing various plumbing systems, including water heaters, urinals, toilets, and shower units.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in completing records, maintaining tools and equipment, and performing various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Help assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
Assist in cutting openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools.
Help fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
Assist in hanging steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
Help install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets.
Assist in installing underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems and extending piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems.
Help locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
Assist in measuring, cutting, and threading pipe using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters and pipe-threading machines.
Help repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains.
Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs to establish the sequence of pipe installations and plan installations around obstructions such as electrical wiring.
Review blueprints and building codes and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Enrolled in any College/University in Kosovo, Trades Schools program related to Plumbing or similar field.
Proficient in English Language
On the 2nd or 3rd year of Study
A National or Legal Resident of Kosovo.
Verifiable college enrollment with GPA and current year of study
Ability to follow daily written/verbal instructions and work well under pressure and time constraints.
Ability to work with supervision and as part of a team.
