Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary
As an Electrical Intern, you will work under direct supervision and be assigned daily tasks. You will assist in explaining instructions and documentation to plan work activities, help coordinate the movement of materials and equipment to work locations and set up work sites. You will also complete and review records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up activities. The job may require moderate to heavy lifting. You must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Report to and receive assignments, instructions, and direction from the Electrical Superintendent or Master Electrician.
Read and interpret instructions and documentation to plan work activities.
Assist in conducting preventive maintenance inspections to ensure electrical distribution systems comply with British Standard and NEC code requirements and standards.
Help maintain, repair, and replace or install a broad range of electrical equipment and support systems in support of plant construction and maintenance activities.
Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Assist in installing wiring according to British Standard / NEC wiring regulations and maintain and repair a wide range of electrical equipment.
Help conduct inspections of electrical systems, record results, and submit them in proper format.
Safely and effectively work with all types of power and hand tools.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Work both indoors, often in confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Enrolled in any College/University in Kosovo, Electrical Engineering or Trades Schools program.
Proficient in English Language
On the 2nd or 3rd year of Study
A National or Legal Resident of Kosovo.
Verifiable college enrollment with GPA and current year of study
Ability to follow daily written/verbal instructions and work well under pressure and time constraints.
Ability to work with supervision and as part of a team.
