This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite in Davidson, NC 3 days each week.
Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring an IT Category Manager. This is a critical role on our Indirect Procurement team, with high visibility to enterprise leadership and great potential for career growth. The roles’ primary responsibilities include category strategy development for a range of IT Categories including Software and SaaS. We are looking for a candidate with category management experience willing to learn and drive the management of the category to reduce risk, cost, and ambiguity for our internal customers.

- 5+ years of experience in negotiation and management of Software, SaaS, and hosting agreements; or 5+ years of contract management and/or category management negotiation experience with a desire to learn and lead software/SaaS/IT category management for a global organization.
Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated success in assessing, negotiating, and managing vendors; leveraging cross-functional teams.
- Collaboration, facilitation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills; you will be a trusted business partner and engage both internal and external stakeholders/customers, and we are seeking the ability to collaborate and influence within a highly matrixed environment.
- Professional communication: both verbal and written are required.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $90,000-$135,000.
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
