Purpose and Scope:
This position will lead and manage Work Control operations in support of the NASA Kennedy Space Center Propellants and Life Support Services (KPLSS II) contract onsite at Kennedy Space Center FL. KPLSS II provides management, engineering, and technical expertise for liquid propellants, gases, special fluids, and related equipment and services on KSC and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) in support of launch operations. This role will foster a collaborative, safety-focused team environment planning, scheduling, readiness, and asset management processes for complex propellants and life support operations.
Essential Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management
Plan, organize, and lead the Work Control Group supporting operations, maintenance, manufacturing, and construction services.
Establish clear performance goals and expectations; mentor and develop team members to achieve operational excellence.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, progress, and safety requirements.

Planning & Scheduling
Oversee short and long range scheduling, readiness processes, and work authorization documentation.
Develop and maintain integrated schedules using Microsoft Project, Maximo, and other planning tools as required.
Coordinate across multiple organizations to ensure resource allocation and operational readiness.

Process Development & Continuous Improvement
Implement and refine work control processes for preventive maintenance and flight operations.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency and drive improvements.
Support asset management philosophy and ensure compliance with NASA/KPLSS II standards.

Technical Oversight
Review and approve work for technical accuracy, safety compliance, and adherence to engineering standards.
Provide analytical and data-driven planning outputs to support decision-making.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management, Engineering, or related field, plus 8 years of related experience; or 16 years of experience in Work Control, Planning & Scheduling, Production Control, or Project Management; as well as Supervising and mentoring individuals and teams.
Proficiency in MS Project, Maximo.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and dynamic leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
U. S. Citizenship required for unescorted access to restricted assigned work area(s). Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. A valid driver's license to independently drive onto and around Kennedy Space Center.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Environment, and Physical Demands:
Extended periods of sitting or standing; frequent walking, use of stairs, and accessing remote structures. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Constant use of speech/hearing abilities. May be required to wear hard hat, hearing protection, eye protection and other associated personal protective equipment if in areas requiring such devices. Work primarily performed inside; occasional need to perform certain tasks out in the field may be required. Walking on uneven outside surfaces including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand may be encountered to access various locations on the facility. Position is located near a hazardous testing facility and vehicle launch site; must be able to quickly evacuate in the event of an emergency.

Compensation Details:
$125K
