Job Summary
This is an exceptional opportunity to serve as the technical lead on a dynamic Cloud AI Platform Engineering team, where you will drive innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing cutting-edge AI and ML solutions while guiding a talented team of engineers through complex technical challenges. This role offers the chance to work with the latest cloud technologies, including large language models and advanced machine learning platforms, while shaping the future of AI-driven solutions in a hybrid cloud environment. You will play a pivotal role in establishing best practices, automating infrastructure, and ensuring the successful delivery of transformative AI and ML initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical expert on a team of Cloud AI Platform Engineers
- Communicate effectively with team members and maintain project delivery timelines
- Identify opportunities for AI, ML, and data infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code
- Drive improvements in configuration management, monitoring, and alerting systems
- Create solutions for complex cloud infrastructure challenges
- Support Cloud AI and ML platforms including LLM application development, prompt engineering, data engineering, LLM safeguards, testing, and go-to-market strategies
- Provide escalation support for operations and support teams in the Hybrid Cloud environment
- Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with other engineering teams
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards and processes
- Provide detailed guidance on vulnerability management and security policies for the cloud estate
- Consult with business and application teams on AI and ML cloud patterns
- Build AI and ML solutions using infrastructure as code tools and processes
- Assist teams in deploying workloads into AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker Studio, OpenSearch, and other cloud AI and ML technologies
Skills
- AWS cloud architecture expertise, particularly core services such as EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, and networking
- Deep understanding of AWS AI, ML, and data offerings
- Proficiency with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker AI, LLMs, and cloud machine learning technologies
- Knowledge of deployment patterns and AWS components
- Containerization and Kubernetes experience
- Automation technologies and CI/CD tools expertise
- Cloud platform engineering and tooling including Terraform, AWS Command Line, Linux shell scripting, and Python
- Familiarity with common AI and ML libraries
- Cloud costing and optimization knowledge
- Strong understanding of cloud security and networking concepts
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Experience
- Five years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Two years of professional work experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, or Data Science
- Seven or more years of professional work experience in Data Science, Technology, or a related field preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus six or more years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus twelve or more years of Technology related experience
- FinOps certifications such as Practitioner, Engineer, or Professional preferred
- Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule out of one of three US corporate office locations: McLean, Dallas, or Memphis
- Willingness to travel up to ten percent
