Position Overview
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will provide direct support and behavioral services to young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and throughout the community. You will help individuals develop independence, improve social skills, achieve personal goals, and enhance their overall quality of life.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy building meaningful relationships and empowering individuals to succeed in everyday activities and community involvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one behavioral and skills-based support in home and community settings
- Implement individualized support plans designed to promote independence and skill development
- Assist individuals in developing daily living, communication, and social skills
- Support participation in community activities, recreational programs, volunteer opportunities, and appointments
- Reinforce positive behaviors and utilize behavior support strategies
- Collect and maintain accurate documentation of goals, behaviors, and progress
- Foster independence while promoting dignity, safety, and self-advocacy
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and support teams
- Maintain professional and supportive relationships with clients and their support networks
- Attend required trainings and team meetings
Qualifications
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification required
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
- Experience providing community-based or in-home services is a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Phoenixville area
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and compassion
- Successful completion of required background checks, onboarding, and training requirements
