The Director, Compliance Reporting will embrace these efforts by supporting the Guaranteed Rate compliance department on matters related to data and reporting by helping to keep the day-to-day operations of the compliance department running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, analyze and solve problems creatively, prioritize relentlessly, exercise business judgment soundly, and operate with a sense of urgency to get things done.
The Director, Compliance Reporting will:
Provide direct oversight for the Enterprise’s State Reporting function, ensuring the annual reporting schedule is adhered to, with all reports submitted in a timely manner with accurate content. Reporting is completed for Guaranteed Rate, Inc. and its Joint Ventures and encompasses Mortgage Origination, HELOCs, Personal Loans, HECMs and Servicing data.
Create automated solutions to replace manual preparation of data for annual reports by researching regulatory requirements, drafting reporting parameters/logic, working with technology counterparts to build the reports, conducting validation testing, and drafting end-user instructions for reporting requirements.
Oversee production of examination data requests by drafting requirements, building reports, validating the data, and creating a data dictionary, where necessary.
Engineer reporting solutions for special Compliance projects and/or in response to examination/audit findings.
Act as the Department expert in data-centric solutions, collaborating with peers in the Department to assist in broader Compliance initiatives/goals.
To be considered, the successful candidate should have:
3+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry – with a mortgage originator, mortgage broker, bank, credit union, or regulator preferred.
Prior experience with data reporting.
The ability to read and understand the SQL language to collaborate with technology partners; and the ability to write SQL is a plus.
An unparalleled communication ability with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Experience generating ad-hoc reports by identifying the proper fields and filters, analyzing and testing the raw data, and presenting data in an easily understandable format.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
