Corporate HR Generalist – Hybrid (Houston)
Position Overview: Join our team as a Corporate HR Generalist and become a critical part of our mission to build an empowering and inclusive workplace. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and in-office, and it will support key corporate functions, including IT, Legal, Finance, and HR. In this role, you'll leverage your HR expertise to foster strong connections between employees and leadership, ensuring that our HR strategies support both individual growth and our broader business goals. What You’ll Do: In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor, supporting approximately 600 employees across corporate functions to ensure our HR initiatives are effective and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to shape HR practices and policies that empower our employees and foster an inclusive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance across the full spectrum of HR functions, from staffing and onboarding to employee relations and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to identify and address business needs, ensuring alignment with our values and HR best practices.
- Handle employee relations matters professionally and with sensitivity, including disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, employment laws, and compliance requirements to inform policy updates and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Serve as a trusted HR partner, establishing strong relationships with cross-functional HR teams and business leaders.
- Leverage Workday for HR administration, helping to streamline processes and drive efficiency in day-to-day operations.
- Actively contribute to a positive workplace culture, championing our values and fostering a collaborative, people-centered environment.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience with a focus on employee relations, HR policy, and talent management.
- Demonstrated experience with Workday.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with intermediate to advanced proficiency preferred.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and provide direct, thoughtful feedback to managers and employees.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stakes, high-paced environment, with a strong customer-service orientation.
